DR JOHN REIDAR ERIKSEN

Since March 2024 Dr John Eriksen has been accepted as volunteer consultant anesthesiologist at KCMC from Bergen University Hospital, Norway. With more than 12 years of experience in practicing anesthesia, Dr Eriksen will provide with practical teaching for the anesthesiology residents and anesthesia nurse students at KCMC, focusing especially on perioperative patient safety.

MR ØYSTEIN MYRSTAD

Mr Øystein Myrstad is a specialized anesthetic nurse from Stavanger University Hospital, Norway. He has subspecialized in pediatric anesthesia. His contract as volunteer anesthetic nurse at KCMC runs from August 2024. His knowlegde and experience will be valuable in the follow-up of anesthesia nurse students at KCMC. He will also assist in mentoring implementation of various quality improvement projects in the anesthesia department.

 

DR ARVID ASMERVIK ERIKSEN & DR DORITH AASE ERIKSEN

More volunteers will join during the summer of 2025. Arvid Eriksen, born and raised in Tanzania, is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon from Stavanger University Hospital, Norway, who will bring quality and continuity to the burn unit at KCMC, Tanzania. His wife, Dorith Aase Eriksen, is a specialized dentist who will join the dental- and oral surgery department.
